Teel out; Markshausen enters the fold

Via Michael C. Wright at ESPN Chicago:
"The Bears announced the signing of former Northwestern receiver Zeke
Markshausen on Sunday, in addition to the release of quarterback Mike Teel."
Two thoughts on this move: Markshausen was with the Bears in minicamp; they've seen what they can do. Unless the 5-11, 185 pound receiver got bigger or faster, I'd be shocked if the Bears make a 180 and Markshausen makes the roster.
Secondly, I spent
way too much time thinking about
Mike Teel when the Bears signed him. When it happened I thought it was odd. And I still think it was odd. Still, the Teel move should have entered and exited my mind in the same moment.
