Bears re-sign Tinoisamoa; all is good for Bears' LBs
By: erw9z3

Whereas the Bears have spent most of the offseason filling weaknesses
and adjusting to new coaches, the Bears add reinforcements and
depth after
re-signing unrestricted free agent linebacker Pisa
Tinoisamoa.
Tinoisamoa
played only 24 snaps for the Bears last season because he sprained his knee on the first play from scrimmage in the season opener; then, he reinjured the knee Week 6 against the Falcons. But if he's healthy, and Brian Urlacher's healthy, Tinoisamoa
should fit into the strongside linebacker competition with Hunter
Hillenmeyer and Nick Roach.
The terms of Tinoisamoa's contract
weren't announced, but the Bears did say the deal is for one year. And although the dollar
amount isn't known,
ESPN's Jeff Dickerson doesn't expect it to be a
lot.
He points out in his Chicago Bears blog that none of the
strongside linebacker competitors make a lot of money or possess
long-term contracts: Tinoisamoa, 1-year deal; Roach, restricted free
agent; Hillenmeyer's contract only runs through 2011. So the SLB position is perfectly situated for open competition.

He loves this move.
